Equine cruelty cases on the increase

Over the last year or so, there has been a significant increase in the number of animal cruelty or neglect cases in and around Knox County, Tennessee, involving horses and other equines. Many people are simply not aware of the tremendous amount of time, care and love these magnificent animals require. One excellent resource for information on the proper care of horses is Dr. Sarah (who, in the interest of full disclosure, is my lovely and talented wife).  A local non-profit organization, Horse Haven of Tennessee, does an excellent job of rescuing and caring for abused or neglected horses. They can always use volunteers and contributions. Help them all you can!
